Baseball Catch Probability Introduced

Baseball and statistics go together like hot dogs and ketchup. As further evidence of this, Major League Baseball's Statcast is debuting a new metric this year called "Catch Probability", which will be applied to every tracked batted ball to the outfield. This metric uses the exact starting position of the fielder and hang time of the ball to determine the probability of the ball being caught (on a scale from 0-100). Players will be ranked based on their ability to make successful catches of different difficulty ratings. For more detail read complete article here at MLB.com
